Come to find out, they live no more than 5 miles from each other and had their babies 2 days apart! Listening to them talk today was amazing. It was if they had known each other since childhood. The conversation and laughter flowed.
Being a new first time Mom can be a very lonely and isolating time. A time when connecting with other Moms can be a lifeline. We can assure each other all of the overwhelming feelings we are having are normal.
If we don't "put ourselves out there", we could be missing the gift of friendship, and needlessly walking this unknown territory alone. There are other Moms going through what you are going through.
Look for ways to connect with other Moms... walking in the park, in line for coffee, story time at the library, Mom Support groups. You will be blessed and bless others through your effort.
It warms my heart to know that these two Moms are there for each other. To understand. Listen. Cry. Laugh.
The day ended with this lovely statement ~ "Come over tomorrow. We can sit around and nurse our babies together, all day." ♥
